About Sam Yin
Sam Yin is a law enforcement officer with more than 20 years of experience and over 10 years of experience as a supervisor for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). He was instrumental in establishing the LAPD’s Video Arraignment program during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Additionally, he has extensive experience working in Patrol, the Police Academy, and Community Relations.
Currently, Sam is responsible for managing the operations at MJS. He monitors the development of Watch Commanders and Watch Supervisors, assessing risk, and reviewing audit reports prior to presentation to the LAPD’s Office of Operations. Managing the largest Jail in LAPD, Sam has trained hundreds of civilian and sworn professionals in Jail Operations, Jail Tactics, and Field Jail Operations for Mass Demonstrations.
